Hiking is a popular recreational pastime in Arizona, as a get-away from urban living, while enjoying the beauty and wildlife of nature. Hiking season runs all year in Arizona. Of course, with unpredictable weather and fires, some trails may be closed anytime during the season. The websites for the area will usually inform you of any closures or cautions and we provide links for most of the trails in our directory Search Arizona Trail Guide - Click Here

County Comm Bail Out Bag

Mon Jul 7 2008
Designed from the ground up to be the ultimate personal gear carry/last resort bailout bag. This bag is used as a vehicle bag. It lives in the trunk of the car ready in case of emergency

Tip: Rotate the snacks in your bug out bag once in a while. Even sealed foods loose taste and nutrition in the heat of a car for too long

This bag is mostly one big compartment with some outside pockets and carry handles. It's a bit bigger than a militay tool bag. but it's about the same concept. Two large pockets on each end for water bottles or canteens

One one side there are three small pockets and one long pocket the length of the bag. Used for chapstick and gum

The three side pockets could hold rifle or pistol magazines or any gear about that size like radios, GPS, etc. The pocket flaps are adjustable and removable

The other side has two long pockets used in this case for TP, tissues, gum, caffine gum, small pad of paper, talc powder (in a bag) and the lower pocket holds light sticks, more LED lights and lots of 550 cord

A small LED light is tied to the side of the case to keep it handy. While the bag is full there is still room to add more gear if needed. Surefire G2 Light with LED upgrade bulb

This bag contains:

  • Gookaid
  • Energy Bars
  • Medical Guide
  • Knife
  • TP
  • ziplock bags (12)
  • Trash Bags (3)
  • Gloves
  • Emergency Blankets (2)
  • Surefire battery case w/ CR123 batteries (6) and extra bulb
  • knife sharpener
  • All on a key ring
  •     compass
  •     thermometer
  •     whistle
  •     small knife
  •     LED light
  • Road flares (2)
  • Signal panel
  • 550 cord multiple peices (100+ yards total)
  • spare AA batteries (4)
  • LED headlamp
  • rain poncho
  • first aid kit

I have recently started using County Comm's Maratac Extremem XL BOB and absolutely love it! I got mine in Coyote Brown because they were sold out of OD Green and was expecting it to be as ugly as all get out -- But I was pleasantly surprised! My wife even likes it which is really saying something!
